Sorry to have been off the airways: I got sucked into the Black Hole of School Vacation Week = a very good Black Hole to be sure, but one that is all consuming. I wanted to extend MANY THANKS to our colleagues at REEP - Suzanne Grant and Pat Thurston - for facilitating a great conversation about writing and rubrics. Thanks as well to those of you who contributed to make the discussion dynamic. Have any of you decided that you might look into the REEP process for your own needs? I would love to hear about that if you are. We have a few other guest discussions coming up, but I wanted to let you know that we are being slightly delayed - folks are focusing on lobbying against the federal budget cuts (I hope YOU are too! For thorough information on the budget cuts, what states are doing, and what you can do, see the ALEWiki and click on Public Policy http://wiki.literacytent.org/index.php/Main_Page).
