Hi again everyone,

I wanted to let you know that you can view the following webcasts about
NAAL in preparation for our discussion next week.  Note that the
webcasts all focus on different subject matter:  the first is a NAAL
overview with Q&A, the second looks at the Health Literacy Component of
the NAAL, the third focuses on research aspects and implications.  Below
is the full information you will need to access any of the webcasts.

There are 3 different webcasts:
National Assessment of Adult Literacy (NAAL) Webcast
Presented September 8, 2004 -- An interactive presentation providing a
brief overview of the 2003 National Assessment of Adult Literacy (NAAL),
followed by a question-and-answer period was presented in celebration of
International Literacy Day on September 8th.

National Assessment of Adult Literacy (NAAL) Health Literacy Component
(HLC)Webcast
Presented August 3, 2004 -- The NAAL HLC is the first-ever national
assessment designed specifically to measure health literacy. The
presentation targeted for research community, will highlight key design
features, new types of data, and data uses.

2003 National Assessment of Adult Literacy (NAAL) Webcast
Presented December 19, 2003 -- Especially targeted toward the research
community, this interactive webcast session highlighted the new types of
data, technical resources, and reports planned for the 2003 NAAL.
