*ProLiteracy Seeks Model Programs for Performance Accountability Initiative*

Deadline for Application – **August 7, 2008*
With funding from the Dollar General Literacy Foundation, ProLiteracy is
leading a three-year national project known as the *Dollar
General/ProLiteracy Performance Accountability Initiative*.
This project identifies promising practices for collecting, analyzing, and
using student and program assessment data to demonstrate and communicate
program effectiveness.
This year's (2008-2009) theme is *Communicating Success to Stakeholders*.
As in the previous years, ProLiteracy will choose up to eight model programs
that demonstrate promising accountability practices related to communicating
success.
Those selected as model programs will receive:
· a $1,500 stipend
· increased national visibility
· an opportunity to extend their positive impact to the literacy and
adult education field across the U.S.
The deadline for accepting nominations via e-mail is* **August 7, 2008*

guidelines and to complete a nomination form.

program resources and effectiveness by communicating their success to
stakeholders.
