Integrated Education and Training in Corrections

Integrated Education and Training in Corrections, with IET logo

The IET in Corrections project provides resources and technical assistance for adult educators interested in developing and delivering IET programs in correctional facilities. This project will develop tools and resources that supplement the Reentry Education Tool Kit.

From 2020-2022, the IET in Corrections project worked with six states - Indiana, Maryland, Minnesota, Mississippi, Texas, and West Virginia – to pilot test the development and delivery of IET programs in prisons and jails. The lessons learned from the pilot are described in the IET in Corrections Companion Guide to the IET Design Toolkit. The Companion Guide is meant to supplement the IET Design Toolkit, providing additional considerations for development, program examples, and tools for those interested in developing IET programs in correctional facilities.
