Oregon Green Career Pathway Roadmaps
This resource contains both evidence-based research and practice-based materials that can help guide the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of career pathways programs.
This web-based resource provides a roadmap for “green jobs”. Community college courses, certificate degrees, and apprenticeship programs across Oregon are mapped for five emerging and existing “green” occupations and industries, including solar and wind. Career, industry, skills progression, and labor market resources are also provided. This resource can be used by individuals or in a classroom setting.
The purpose of this resource is to provide students, job seekers, advisors, and counselors with education, career, labor market, and industry information about emerging green occupations. The resource provides information about existing occupations in the green industry as well as how to acquire enhanced green skills through community college and apprenticeship programs statewide.
This resource was reviewed and vetted through the Designing Instruction for Career Pathways initiative of the U.S. Department of Education, Office of Vocational and Adult Education under Contract No. ED-CFO-10-A-0072/0001.
