Virtual Career Network
Virtual Career Network is a career exploration resource for current and prospective workers within the Health Science career cluster.
Sponsored by the U.S. Department of Labor’s Employment and Training Administration under the leadership of the American Association of Community Colleges and funded through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, Virtual Career Network is an online tool that allows current and prospective health care workers to explore more than 80 different occupations, identify local education and training programs, and tap into current job listings. Through the Virtual Career Network, users can also learn how previous experience such as military or on-the-job training can be applied toward a health care career, take free online courses, and find sources of financial aid.
The purpose of this resource is to allow students to conduct career exploration and planning through the Virtual Career Network’s online career exploration products and tools.
This resource was reviewed and vetted through the Designing Instruction for Career Pathways initiative of the U.S. Department of Education, Office of Vocational and Adult Education under Contract No. ED-CFO-10-A-0072/0001.
