Abstract

The focus of this class is to prepare individuals to provide personal care in home-based care settings and to obtain entry-level employment in the field of personal care.  The class also serves as a pre-bridge to Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) coursework.  Extensive downloadable curriculum materials include lesson plans, reading activities, handouts, review flashcards, and PowerPoint presentations for use in the course.  The course can be modified for English Language Learners.

Benefits and Uses

Students will be prepared to take the CNA course leading to certification.
