Abstract

 The Get Real Math & Science videos showcase more than 80 core math and science skills needed in manufacturing careers. Each video, produced at manufacturing companies, features manufacturing workers and includes an accompanying lesson plan created by math and science teachers. Lesson plans include the standards covered, key vocabulary, discussion questions, and tips for differentiation and extension. Math and science skills featured range from College and Career Readiness Skills Levels B through E.

Benefits and Uses

The resource includes math and science videos and accompanying lesson plans that support numeracy concepts and skills in the manufacturing context. The videos can be searched both by standard and by topic; each video includes breaks with corresponding facilitation guidance to help instructors reinforce key concepts throughout the video.
