Abstract

This checklist, adapted from the ADVANCE Integrated Education and Training (IET) Design Camp Toolkit and Virginia IET Planning Tool, is a step-by-step guide for administrators, instructors, and partners to plan, develop, implement, and evaluate an IET program. Each checklist item is a clickable link to resources and tools aimed at assisting design teams in successfully implementing each step of the process.

Benefits and Uses

This Virginia Adult Learning Resource Center (VALRC) resource is a comprehensive to-do checklist for IET design brainstorming that functions as a recommended IET resource bibliography, especially referencing the IET Design Toolkit. It is laid out clearly in chart form with associated links for a robust set of standards around the initial stages of IET development, including Self-Assessment, Program Planning and Design, Learner Experience, Instruction, and Technical Assistance and Professional Learning Community (Parts I–V). The checklist functions as a useful guide to the critical steps involved with IET program design and as a one-stop curated list of relevant resources.
