Technical Assistance Webinars

The LINCS Professional Development (PD) Center offers technical assistance webinars to assist states in leveraging resources and identifying strategies to implement Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) Section 223 requirements. Each webinar features a brief overview of related WIOA requirements and provides state examples and resource in meeting these requirements. Additional resources and tools developed by the LINCS PD Center are also featured. Webinars are designed to support professional development staff, but registration is open to all.

  • Leveraging Employer Partnerships to Support Adult Education Core Programs (June 5 at 11:00am EDT)
    • During this webinar, South Dakota’s professional development team will share how they are enhancing their adult education system using employer partnerships. Learn how creating quality partnership with business and industry has supported South Dakota’s English language and high school equivalency participants. Participants will have the opportunity to discuss the approach and strategies used to better leverage partnership with business and industry in their own states. | Register Here!

  • Making Open Educational Resources (OER) Work for You (June 14 at 4:30pm EDT)

    • For the past year, the Power in Numbers team has been working with 37 educators from 21 states to curate and design OER for adult math. During this webinar, the Power in Numbers team will discuss how OER can serve the unique needs and learning styles of your adult students, and share what you need to know to start using OER in your classroom.   • Leveraging the OCTAE IET Checklist for Planning and Implementation (Date/Time TBD)

    • The U.S. Department of Education supported the development of an Integrated Education and Training (IET) Guide to assist states in assessing their implementation of IET programming as outlined in WIOA. In this webinar, participants will gain an understanding of the tool and hear how a state can use it. Pennsylvania will share how they have integrated this tool into their professional development system. | Register Here!
