Abstract

These materials, created by Minneapolis Adult Basic Education Center under a grant from the Wells Fargo Foundation, contain multi-level, activity-based units to supplement an English Language Learner (ELL) curriculum.  The unit includes lesson plans, rubrics (for instructor evaluation and for student self-evaluation), vocabulary activities, and a culminating activity.

Benefits and Uses

Students will:  (1) Demonstrate teamwork in simple assembly tasks; (2) Practice basic math in the context of quality control; and (3) Understand vocabulary related to assembly tasks.
